Work – Shop Early!

Our volunteer workers are FIRST TO SHOP during the exclusive presale event before the sale opens to the public and receive first choice of all our quality items!

All Volunteer Workers are also invited to a special HALF-PRICE PRESALE!

You DO NOT have to be a seller in order to work a volunteer shift and shop the presales. We have several different four hour shifts available.

Single shift worker – Work ONE shift (four hours) to receive a tote bag and shop the single shift workers presale.

Double shift worker – Work TWO shifts (eight hours) to receive a tote bag and shop EVEN EARLIER at the double shift workers presale. Sellers who work two shifts will earn earn 75% for their items.

Triple shift worker – Work THREE shifts (twelve hours) to receive a tote bag and shop EVEN EARLIER at the triple shift workers presale. Sellers who work three shifts will earn 75% for their items and have their seller’s fee refunded.

40 hour worker – we have a limited number of openings for full time sale workers.  These hand-selected workers will earn an even higher percentage of their sales or a gift certificate to shop at the Spring 2011 sale.  All this time, all openings are filled.  If you’d like to be considered for a full time worker position at a future sale, let us know!

There are several “trade shifts” available. These count as a four hour work shift and include:

  • bringing in meals for the other volunteer workers – meals need to serve 20-25 people and include drinks, paper plates, utensils, etc.
  • delivering flyers around town the week before the sale – you will need to make several hundred copies of our flyer and deliver them to specific places from a list we provide
  • getting media coverage for the sale – if you have connections that could get us on TV or in the newspaper, email us with the details

If you do not see these options listed in the MyConsignment Manager system, it means they are all filled.  Double & triple shift workers may only work one trade shift.  Trade shifts will not count towards earning an extra 5% for sellers or refunding the $10 sellers fee, they will only get you admitted to the presale an hour earlier.

If you sign up to work a shift and cannot make it, PLEASE find a replacement for yourself because we need ALL shifts to be filled to ensure a successful sale.

Online worker registration for Elizabethtown sale will end at noon on September 8, 2010.  Shift selection must be complete by noon on Saturday, September 11.  After these times, all changes must be made by phone.

If you are unable to stand for long periods of time, let us know and we’ll assign you to a “sitting” volunteer job.

We need “a few good men” to help on our set-up and tear-down shifts, so feel free to send your husband in to work so you can shop early.

We are unable to provide childcare during your volunteer shift. Please do not bring your children as you will not be able to supervise them properly. Many of our volunteer workers team up to work different shifts and take turns providing childcare for each other.

Only one shopper per pass may attend the presale.
